The Powers Art Center is open to the public from 10:00AM to 3:00PM, Monday through Thursday. The exception to these hours may be for scheduled maintenance, holidays, or weather related closures.
As we celebrate our 5th anniversary, the Jasper Johns exhibit features works that were part of the original "John and Kimiko Powers Collection". The pieces are presented in chronological order and span from 1960 to 1999. You will experience Jasper's works through the eye of the collector.
Accompanying the Jasper Johns, will be an exhibit of Andy Warhol works on paper donated to the Ryobi Foundation from the "John and Kimiko Powers Collection". The exhibit has works from 1964 to 1983 including Warhol's famous "Marilyn" portraits and his iconic "Campbell's Soup Cans"
The Powers Art Center also exhibits an extensive collection of Takashi Nakazato ceramic works. Takashi is the 13th generation in his family to create traditional Karatsu ceramics and has been part of the Powers collection for decades.
Please send your contact information through the "CONTACT US" link on the right if you would like to be added to our e-mail list for future educational events.
