Wrapped - An Artistic Study of Fabric
Wrapped explores the spectacular works of Issey Miyake and Christo & Jeanne-Claude, artists that revolutionized the study of fabric. Issey Miyake was a celebrated designer who transformed the human body with unique fabric, folds, and colors. Christo and Jeanne-Claude are known for their large-scale installations of fabric encompassing landmarks and public venues.

The Powers Art Center will be closed the month of May for maintenance and the installation of the next Jasper Johns’ exhibit: Not Mine But Taken - An Intentional Look at Jasper Johns. Reopening on June 1st.

A Jasper Johns exhibit exploring the fragility of the passage of time.
Wrapped
Wrapped explores the spectacular works of Issey Miyake and Christo & Jeanne-Claude, artists that revolutionized the study of fabric. THE CARBONDALE COMMUNITY SCHOOL STUDENTS BEAUTIFUL ART WORK TO BE DISPLAYED AT THE MUSEUM, MARCH 3RD THOUGH MARCH 15TH. DRAWING INSPIRATION FROM ARTISTS CURRENTLY ON EXHIBIT, STUDENTS WORKS WILL BE DISPLAYED IN GALLERIES AMONGST THE LIKES OF OLDENBURG, LICHTENSTEIN, ROSENQUIST AND JASPER JOHNS. STOP BY AND SEE THEIR UNIQUE CREATIONS!
